My Camera History

Over a decade of photographing weddings with Nikon DSLR camera’s, I decided to move over to mirrorless and trade in my trusty reliable but outdated D3’s for the Sony A7iii.
I’ve been shooting with Nikon cameras for longer than I care to remember, my first Nikon digital camera was the D70s and over the years I’ve owned everything from the D700 to the D3, then finally the D4, the natural progression was towards the Nikon D850, but then I became interested in the Fuji system, mainly the XT3, however, I felt it didn’t offer me what I needed in a professional way.

When I first saw a colleague using the sony A7iii at a major conference in Liverpool in 2018 I was taken a back at how small and compact the system was and wasnt sure if such a small camera was suitable for real professional work, (camera make snobbery) but the images he took that day were stunning and that got me thinking.

I’d heard the menu system on the A7iii was horrible, so with that in mind, I went on a mission to find out if this camera was right for me and the things I do, Seven months later, I finally own the Sony A7iii and honestly I can say its fantastic, it’s not perfect but no camera is.

After a very long and drawn out evaluation of the Sony A7III, I made the decision to put myself through the financial turmoil of changing a full camera system.

Capture the peaks of more decisive moments with the α7 III from Sony packing newly developed back-illuminated full-frame CMOS sensor  and other advanced imaging innovations, high-speed response, ease of operation, and reliable durability that are ready for various shooting needs.
